Enjoy travel. Dislike tourists...that's what living in DC forever can do to a person. Favor unique/small places to stay but not so small that the owners want to introduce their kids over breakfast. In cities, it's all about being able to step out the door...right into the city.

Love to travel and explore new spots...big city or small village, my favorite is to rent a bike or explore by foot. Great food and vino is a must! As for hotels, I look for a nice, clean spot to stay and treat myself to something special when the price is right...location is key.
